DRAINAGE
Recommended type: FuranFlex®-Rain
There are vertical drainage pipes in certain places on the roofs of flat-roofed buildings. Generally these are made of steel, concrete or
asbestos concrete. These pipes are damaged by corrosion or the movement of the building. They are difficult to repair, as in most cases
the walls need to be demolished.
A FuranFlex® lining is an ideal solution for repairs, for which you need to be aware of the following:
The material of FuranFlex® is only resistant to abrasive effects (sand, gravel) to a limited extent. Therefore, it is not recommended in the
case of horizontal drainage pipes. In the case of vertical rainwater drainage pipes there is no abrasive effect. It is important to make sure
that the material of the curved outlet pipe at the bottom of the pipe is resistant, e.g. made of polyethylene, PVC. The rainwater flowing down
the pipe may contain abrasive materials, which do not wear the wall of the pipe in the case of vertical movement, but they have a significant
abrasive effect in curved pieces and along horizontal sections.

| The perfect construction of the inlet on the roof is important also. It must create a perfect seal on the roof insulation to stop water from getting underneath. |
