FURANFLEX® INSTALLATION EQUIPMENT

|
KNK 36 steam generator
This generator, developed especially for the FuranFlex® technology, generates the low-pressure (0.05 - 0.5 bar), precisely regulated steam that is needed for the FuranFlex® technology. It has CE certification. |
|
| The FuranFlex® technology requires the following equipment. Kompozitor Ltd. guarantees the FuranFlex® liner tube only if the equipment developed and manufactured by Kompozitor Ltd. is used during installation. |
|

ITS MAIN CHARACTERISTICS ARE THE FOLLOWING:
- High performance (40 kg/h of steam)
- Low weight in relation to the performance (60 kg)
- Small space demand (420x620x1002 mm)
- Outstanding efficiency (93%)
- Aluminium body, no corrosion
- Easy to move and transport

Fastblower
This delivers a large amount of air at a pressure of 0.2 bar, which pressure level cannot be increased. This pressure is needed and is enough to "open" the FuranFlex® tube placed inside the chimney and to inflate it for the purpose of testing. Traditional compressors are not suitable for this purpose.
- Using a traditional compressor the inflation of a large FuranFlex® tube (with a diameter of 500 mm) may take as long as 30-50 minutes. Using the jet blower it takes 2-10 minutes.
- Using a traditional compressor the pressure of a maximum of 0.2 bar cannot be set precisely. Overpressure may occur, which may destroy the FuranFlex® tube.
|
The fastblower includes a suction disk, which makes it possible to create a vacuum. This may be necessary, for example, when for
some reason the FuranFlex® tube must be pulled out of the chimney before it hardens. The vacuum makes the already inflated
inline tube "shrink".
Adapterheads
The adapter heads are for the purpose of sealing the ends of the FuranFlex® tube before and during inflation. With the pin situated
on the upper adapter head the flow rate of the steam or air flowing out of the liner tube can be adjusted. A manometer can also be
fitted to the outlet tube for this purpose.
One or two steam inlet hoses, the air hose of the jet blower and the return water discharge tube are connected to the lower adapter
head. The cover of both adapter heads can be removed during inflation, making it possible to insert a new hose in the place of a
damaged internal hose, or to insert a test camera.

ADAPTERHEAD SIZES:
Ø 60 mm
Applicable FuranFlex® tube size:
Ø 80 - Ø 160 mm |
  |
Ø 133 mm
Applicable FuranFlex® tube size:
Ø 160 - Ø 275 mm |
Diameter increasing discs
A diameter-increasing disk should be used in the case of large FuranFlex® diameters (above 275 mm). These disks can be
screwed on the 135 mm adapter head. Presently they are available in two sizes:
  |
Ø 260 mm
Applicable FuranFlex® tube size:
Ø 275-500 mm |
  |
Ø 480 mm
Applicable FuranFlex® tube size:
Ø 500-900 mm |
Adapterhead extension
Extended adapter heads should be used when using diameter-increasing disks.
Rope clamp
During the inflation and hardening of FuranFlex®, the rope clamp presses the liner tube against the adapter head.
Instead of the commonly used metal strap (AWAB-clamp), two thin high-tensile ropes hold the FuranFlex® tube against the
adapter head. Its advantages as opposed to metal clamps are as follows:
A detailed description of the equipment can be found in the guide entitled "FuranFlex® technology 2008" and in the operating
manual of the steam distributor. |
