PACKAGING - TRANSPORTATION - STORAGE
FuranFlex is manufactured in various diameters (Ø60 mm - Ø850 mm) and lengths (5 m - 80 m) to suit the customers' demands.
Its unique advantage is that chimney liner tubes of any size can be easily delivered to any part of the world.
Packaging
First the FuranFlex® tube of the ordered size is folded in half along its length while it is still soft, because in this way the tube can be
easily inserted even into long chimneys that are not straight.
 |
 |
Then the liner tube is folded up until it is approximately one metre long and wrapped in plastic film.
The FuranFlex® tube prepared in this way can then be placed in a cardboard box or case of standard length (120 mm).
|
 |
 |
These packages are easy to move with a forklift truck, and they are easy to transport by vehicle.
FuranFlex ready for transportation is delivered in cardboard boxes below 80 kg and in wooden cases between 80-300 kg.

Transportation of FuranFlex®
Packaged FuranFlex can be transported on pallets, in goods vehicles, by rail, by ship or by aircraft.
It may not be transported within the same space as foodstuffs.
Before transportation the boxes and cases are cooled down to +8 °C.
They may be dangerous in summer heat (above 30 °C).
In Europe transportation lasting for more than 3 days is not advisable without preliminary cooling.

Storage of FuranFlex®
The main aspects of storing FuranFlex®: a cold and humid environment is favourable for storage.
From the moment of manufacture the material of FuranFlex® progresses through a slow process of chemical hardening.
This process is accelerated by higher temperatures and slowed down by a cold environment.
FuranFlex® also contains water, so there is also a drying process. If FuranFlex® seems to be dry, it can be sprayed with water,
which softens it.
The freezing of FuranFlex® must be avoided.
